Hunting - am I crap, or have I missed something?

Postby MantaNZ on Sat Jan 15, 2011 2:43 pm

Hey guys,

Okay, so I have started my quest but I'm pretty new to RPGs, so a bit crap. lol.

I'm up to a part in the forest where I have to catch the rabbits. I can't seem to get them all, no matter how hard I try, I am using the run button etc but I still end up with at least two rabbits left at the end of the time. The old guy tells me to come back when I'm a better hunter.... do I need to train up or something? Or am I just not good enough? Haha.

Cheers :)

You just have to be quick enough. Just keep trying until you get it.

I usually have auto run turned ON and path finder turned OFF, and I think that makes it a bit easier, but personal preference will vary for that sort of thing.

Ah, okay, I'll check the menu options - doh. Thanks!

When I designed that mini-game, I put as many rabbits as I could get within the time, so every time I can get all of them I put one more and see if I can make it. When I finally got to the point where I couldn't make it most of the time, that's when I considered it finished!

Keep trying and don't worry, the reward will be worth it! :D

Hehe, it's so cool that the DESIGNERS of the game give us hints and tips. Makes Pier Solar even more of a remarkable experience ;-)

I gave up on that part, but wouldn't mind going back and trying it again. Even with my guys running everywhere, it SEEMS that I got them all, but says that I didn't? Is there a hidden one somewhere or something?

There's one hidden. You can barely see its ears coming out of the trees.

Turn off the path-finder, too. I just ran towards the rabbits, continuously tapping the "catch" button and it wasn't too hard. There are a couple of slightly hidden rabbits, tricky beggars.

I don't ever use the pathfinder. I am pretty good at remembering dungeons.
