Meho Rocks - I'm stuck please help!

Hello,

Loving the game but I'm seriously stuck in Meho Rocks (Dust Bowl, maze bit). I checked out tim333's guide on GameFAQ to work out where I'm going wrong but hasn't helped.

I understand that I have to push the trees onto the squares in a particular order (which I did try before looking up the guide) but no joy. As much as I hammer 'A' next to them, and regardless of which face I'm on, they don't move.

Is there something else I need to do? The party just realised that they were going round in circles due to finding a piece of Alina's jacket. Kruller then tells the story about the horny merchant and his sadistic wife.

Please help! I'm at my wits end!

Update: tried using a standard controller instead of the 6 button just to see if that would make a difference.

If i remember correctly you need to run several times in a circle. Dont remember how often, but your chars will tell you something else, like they have to do something here.

Hey, so I gave that shot and it worked! However, it was indeed a bug as I first suspected.

From my save (just before the cutscene were they realise they've been going in circles and need to look for clues), I went round the whole map twice. On returning to the stone tree area for the second time, the same cutscene repeated itself then I was able to push the trees! I guess something went wrong there but at least it resolved itself.
